Last weekend we went to visit funny, little monkeys in La Montagne des Singes in France. Well, to be precise, these monkeys are Barbary macaques and they are pretty big. The most interesting thing about this place is that macaques are not in cages, so you walk by them and also you can feed them (only with popcorn that is given at the park entrance).
For more information you can check the parks homepage
When the Barbary macaques were fed, we went further to the Haut-Koenigsburg castle, that is just 5 km away from La Montagne des Singes.
The Haut-Koenigsburg castle is sitting 757 metres above the Alsace plain. By getting there to all visitors opens magnificent lanscape view.
The castle was build in 12th century. It has three floors, walking through which you will be able to gain insight into lives of castle inhabitants starting with household things and ending with weapons collection. For more info about this castle visit their website. +Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg
