For many people spicy drinks are staple winter thing (well, actually it for me as well) but at the moment we are in this weird transition period when it is kind of warm and spring like, but at same time it is still cold. And few days ago it even snowed at night what is shocking to wake up in the morning and see all covered in pretty thick layer of snow.
As you may know (or not know) various spices, like cinnamon, cloves, coriander can boost your energy. And to survive this transition to spring and to keep me more energized, I made myself a nice cup of Chai Latte. So here is the recipe!
Ingredients (for 1 portion):
Black tea - 1 tea bag
Whole cloves - 2 pcs.
Cinnamon sticks - 1 pc.
Fresh ginger - 1 slice
Cardamom (ground) - 1/4 tsp
Allspice (ground) - 1/4 tsp
Sweetener, sugar or honey - to taste
Water - 1 cup
Milk - 1 cup
On medium heat, heat up/lightly toast all dry spices - about 2 minutes or until spices get fragrant.
Add all other ingredients. If you want to use honey, but are afraid to heat it, add it at the end, when serving.
Mix everything.
Bring to boil, but be careful - don't let the milk over boil. For this, you can put a wooden spoon on the saucepan.
Reduce the heat and cook for about 5 minutes.
Finished tea strain through a sieve.
Enjoy!
Bon Appetit!

Have A Nice, Cosy Day!
