As far as I know buckwheat is not a common thing in many places around the world. But actually it is super healthy, some call it superfood because it has many health benefits and it is also gluten free! To find out more about just google it, but in this post I will share super simple, healthy recipe using buckwheat. If you aren't a fan of liver, swap for other meat or skip it and then it will be vegan dish!
Ingredients (2-3 portions):
Liver 200 g
Buckwheat 100 g
Squash 1/2 pcs. (~ 150g)
Carrot 1 pc.
Onions 1 pc.
Garlic 1-2 cloves
Bell pepper 1/2 pcs.
Salt, pepper - to taste
Peel and cut vegetables.
Wash the liver, cut into smaller pieces.
Place the vegetables and liver in the multicooker.
You can pour some olive or vegetable oil beforehand.
Close the lid, turn on the 'Frying' mode.
Let all fry / stew for about 10-15 minutes.
Next, add the buckwheat, add hot water (~ 200-250 ml).
Season with salt and pepper.
Closed the lid and turn on the 'Grain' mode for about 30-40 minutes.
Serve with sour cream, natural yogurt or some white sauce or eat plain like I did this time.
