So I found out how to do matte finish nails without using matte nail polish or top coat. Maybe some of you already know this, but for those who don't - I'm sharing this tip.
So I found out how to do matte finish nails without using matte nail polish or top coat. Maybe some of you already know this, but for those who don't - I'm sharing this tip.
All you'll need are regular nail polish and hot water or to be more precise - hot steam.
1. Apply first coat of nail polish and let it dry
2. Pour hot water in cup, bowl or you can leave it in kettle/pot. Apply second coat and before it dries, place you hand in steam with painted nails facing down and for even result turn your hand a little bit from one side to another (better to do 1 or 2 fingers at time) for about 5-10 sec. Don't put your hand too close to hot water to don't get burns!
3. And voila! Here you can see how it looks like comparing to non steamed nail.
Simplicity is the root of all genius!
